Results: When Liza joined the Saxophone Artistry Mentorship, she had been taking lessons once a week. The lessons were great, but between them, she often felt a bit stuck. She’d go home, practice in her bedroom, and sometimes end up waiting two weeks just to ask one small question. If a lesson got cancelled or there was a break, her momentum would slow down, and she didn’t really have a clear sense of what to focus on.
Before the mentorship, she didn’t have much structure in her practice. It was mostly about playing through pieces and doing some scales, but not always knowing how to work on specific things. There was also no real community — it was just her and her teacher once a week, and that was it.
After joining the mentorship, everything changed. Suddenly, she had a system, a community, and regular feedback. She loved being part of a group where everyone was learning together, which made her want to keep up and stay committed. The weekly calls, video check-ins, and instant feedback helped her fix small issues quickly, instead of getting stuck for days or weeks.
Now she’s talking about getting out there to perform and even start busking.
Liza’s decided to join the program for a second year, and I couldn’t be happier. She’s made great friends, built solid practice habits, and found a new level of confidence in her playing.
As she said herself, “A thousand per cent — I’d recommend Saxophone Artistry to anyone.”
